We attended the recent Clifton Park Elks Club dinner. Our friends made the reservations a few days prior to the dinner. While this event was advertised as a beef brisket and pulled pork dinner buffet, the portions served were shockingly small. Each plate came with barely a tablespoon of brisket and a tablespoon of pork, hardly enough for an adult, let alone someone with a bigger appetite. I'm 6’3” and 280 lbs. Even my wife thought the portions were more suitable for a child.

We were looking forward to attending some future dinners, but after this experience, we're not so sure we'll be back. We stopped for pizza on the way home, because we were all still hungry. If you’re advertising a dinner, guests should reasonably expect to leave satisfied. Unfortunately, this event completely...
