Beautiful and clean lake. The trail to it is a bit hilly, but when you reach the lake the trail becomes gentle and easy to follow. The lake is located from the parking lot at a time of about 30-40 minutes. If you follow the trail and walk along the lake on the right side, there will be excellent places for camping. We were here in May trying to catch fish but without success, I think it has not grown yet, as we saw...

Go Sunday through Thursday and you can probably camp right by the lake. Worth the 1 mile hike to get away from the crowds you would normally find at a campground where you can park right at...

I hiked up to a mountain lake. Soaked my shoes on muddy trails, snowmelt and runoff. Stood on marshy ground and painted the trunks of dead trees by the shore. I didn't see any fish in the trout pond. Just slow ripples on mostly still water. Purple mountains and golden grasses.
