Our trip to Animal Adventure for Jungle Bells was truly wonderful! We did a behind the scenes encounter with a Bearcat named Bing. The keeper for Bing was amazing. Super nice, patient and knowledgeable. She is a gem! Bing is an amazing animal ambassador. Iβm so happy your program is going so well. But what I really wanted to comment on was the rest of the staff that we encountered.
I want to give a shout out to whoever responds to your customer service emails. They were polite and responsive. I was very nervous about coming to the event with the predicted amount of snowfall that was supposed to happen. I was bringing my 87 year old Grandfather who uses a cane and I was concerned about EVERYTHING! But she assured me everything would be OK and even offered to move our encounter up an hour early so that we could leave earlier and miss as much of the predicted snow mess as possible. It really shows that you guys CARE!
It was raining and cold and we were all taking turns trying to take photos in front of the big giraffe when a wonderful woman yelled across the way asking if we wanted her to take a photo of ALL of us in front of the giraffe. How nice! She came out of her nice warm building in the rain to help us obtain the photo. She did NOT have to do that but she went out of her to help us a grab a priceless family photo!
The lady in the Giraffe Barn was so sweet and nice. She also had a lot of knowledge and really cared about the Giraffes. She answered all our questions and even spent some time calling the two Bactrian Camels to come up to the fence for us.
The girl in the Camel barn was AMAZING! She deserves 5 stars. We were cold and wet by the time we arrived in her area but she was so nice and funny. Helped us feed the Camels. Gave us their stories. Made us feel welcomed. She was just so happy to see people!
The lady in the gift shop/check out area is also perfect! Iβve worked in Retail and I know how annoying it can be to have to be stuck at work for the few people who venture out into the stormy weather. When we were leaving I asked her if we were the only people in the park and she said that where were 2 other people wandering around out there. But she only cared about whether or not we had a good time. She was pleasant and did not seem the least bit annoyed to be stuck there working. We need more employees like herβ¦ that make you feel valued and welcomed.
THANK YOU for not nickel and diming us during the animal encounter and allowing us to take our own photos/videos!!!!
Also, I did express this opinion to the lady in the gift shop as wellβ¦. The lights you have upβ¦ AMAZING! Way better than Otsinango Park and I feel like you donβt get the credit you deserve. More people need to see how to truly decorate an area professionally. You guys all hit the ball out of the park! Congrats on a job well done! Thank you for making the entire experience worth the trek out to see you. It was worth...

Β Β Β Read moreThis was our 1st trip to the Park. We spent the 1st day at the walk-thru. It was super hot that day, but every staff member we met had a smile on their face and offered to chat about different animals. The park was so clean and the snack bar prices were awesome. Since we had come from the other side of the country for this visit, we booked an encounter for each day we were there. Keeper Kayla did our Capybara and Tapir encounter on the 1st day. She let us know immediately that it was up to the animals what they wanted to do that day. The Capybara were super engaging and the Tapir just wanted to eat. We were super pleased to see the keeper respect what the animals wanted to do and she was so knowledgeable and a delight to talk with. Our 2nd day was a rainy day, but we came prepared with an umbrella. Most of the animals chose to be outside during our morning there. For the afternoon we went over to the Preserve for our Rhino encounter followed by a drive thru of the safari park. Because of the rain, our encounter was moved inside. Keeper Nick has an obvious special relationship with the animals. Tank the Rhino was such a sweetie and getting to give a Rhino a belly rub (with a long handled scrub brush of course) was the icing on the cake. We had some interesting experiences in the rain with the drive thru, my husband said no more emus, LOL, but feeding a bison, just WOW! There's so much more I can say about AAP, it just is such an awesome place and you can see how well the animals are treated and cared for by the way they interact with keepers and guests. Highly recommend you add AAP to...
