Small, quiet zoo almost hidden in the back northwest of the Concord Gas Station parking lot. Great place to stretch your legs, get a short walk in, and see the animals, which include goats, sheep, chickens, pigs, peacocks. I’ve visited for years and the animals have always seemed to be well taken care of. Goats have ramps to do their goat thing, chickens and roosters have a house and yard, larger guys have big areas to roam. Area is safely away from roads so it’s also a good place for kids to get the wiggles out. I believe there are food dispensers to feed the goats (for like .25) and if not they have food inside the convenience store....
Read moreMy kids love this little petting zoo, and entrance is free. The gas station has feed and carrots available for sale, and it's extremely reasonable. I have 3 kids and we usually spend about $5. You can still pet some of the animals without having feed as they come right up to the fence. They have chickens, peafowl, pigs, goats, sheep, donkeys, miniature horses, and alpacas, or maybe they're lamas, i don't recall. There are also these cute little houses with picnic tables for the kids to play in. Kind of in the middle of nowhere, but a great place to kill some time and have some fun...
Read moreif you ever get in a car crash on your third date and you are waiting for your friend to pick you up, please check this place out! 11/10, fantastic roadside attraction, baby goats are adorable and make a meaningful eye contact that makes you happy to be alive. everyone at the general store is also so nice and the cashier gave us free carrots to feed the animals! don’t know if there will be a fourth date but i know for a fact that concord zoo is forever...
