I saw the trail bit scary and slippery, may be thats because I went there after the rainfall. But going up to the dam was a nice experience. You get a great view from there. Also, if you don’t wanna hike but wanna go over to the Dam, there's a road right before the Croton Gorge Park. You can park your vehicle there and have a walk for 2-5 min to the dam. Trail is underneath the trees and is nice and shady.
