Christopher Jacobs Winery at Pennings Vineyards (Seasonally Open May-Oct) — Attraction in Town of Crawford

So we were here today for an Earth Day Weekend Wine tasting event including tastings at 4 local wineries. We showed our wristbands at arrival but it turned out that our starting winery, Maginini, had given us the wrong bands (Sat vs. Sun). We all had our original tickets with the correct date but we werent welcomed to settle until some phone calls were made to see how it should be handled. It felt very unwelcoming and kind of dampened our spirits on the location. Unfortunate, since the mistake was not ours and we all had our tickets in hand to verify. Once settled, Christopher Jacobs provided a generous portion of veggies and dip and had a food truck available for food purchase. Most of the wines were on the dry side and a few had strong mineral flavor note. All pre selected so I didnt connect with my taste of sweeter and semi dry whites. An amazing Winery with fantastic wines made by the wonderful host Monica and her husband Chris. You're welcomed into a nice outdoor bar for tasting of wines, ciders and now some local beers. Picnic tables overlooking the property or walk down a few steps to a green area with tents to enjoy your selections is a really nice touch especially if the horses are out grazing. Weekends in Summer are filled with activities like live music and food trucks. We absolutely love the Ole Wine but unfortunately is was sold out for the season. Very excited that there's going to be an inside bar with additional seating. We really love this Winery and it's always an exhale moment when we road trip...

I had been here back in 2018 for a bachelorette party and they made the tasting SO much fun! Today I went for their weekly Friday hangout where they have a food truck and band come (it changes who comes so there's a range) and it was such a great vibe. We played cornhole and made some new friends, all while having amazing wine and sangria (Holy Cow is my favorite). The surroundings are breath taking, every worker is so nice and if you drop a fry, Po the farm doggo will be right there to clean it up for you. Highly recommend for anybody who is doing wine tastings or want somewhere chill to go...
