Whispering Pines Park — Attraction in Town of Dayton

The new dog park at Whispering Pines is just TERRIBLE. There is no grass, just dirty mulch, no benches for people to sit while their dogs play, and absolutely NO shade as all the beautiful trees were cut down to make nothing more than a big dirty dog pen! Also, there needs to be TWO gates for safety so the dogs can't run out when another one enters. It is a disgrace, and very few people are using it. My pup and myself had a nice quiet walk thru this park! Two big baseball fields with noone at them allowed me to let the pup run!! People were utilizing the picnic tables for a friendly game of cards... great little park!! Update: still a nice place to walk when no one there. Am finding since my last post that a lot more people are going and not cleaning up after their pups. Sad.. but still a good place for my pup...

Set deep in Holiday City, there are two softball/baseball fields, a new children's playground w/slides & monkey bars and an enormous picnic area complete w/grills. There are also open restrooms when the park is open.
