Many hiking paths in this quiet refuge. Took a great leisurely 2 hour (round trip) hike on this well worn path, with the exceptions of the frozen and sometimes slippery sections. This was yesterday afternoon near sunset, starting at the Trail's End Road entry to Vernooy Kills - a strong and sturdy looking waterfall, with chunks of ice diverting the flow. Looking forward to exploring it again in other seasons.

A quiet and beautiful place. Clear water is very cold even in the height of summer. I recommend arriving at hours closer to sunset, then the place is really empty of people. A walking route in water (there is also a dry route) with stopping and exit options in several places. The whole route takes 2/3 hours depending on the pace.

Great place to camp and enjoy the great out doors. Park Rangers were a little rude. I dropped wife with my kids at the Bluehole and went to go park. They asked for our permit and she told them I had it. They assumed she was lying till I showed up.

Love this place and so glad the state is now doing the permits to visit a couple of years I went there and it was so overcrowded with people which it never used to be like that it used to be such a nice place to go and relax I mean to say maybe 20 people were there you could swim and enjoy yourself but a couple years ago when I went there had to be at least 200 people there they had left garbage and it was just way too overcrowded they didn't take care of one of our most beautiful places to go visit and cool off during the summer heat that's why I am so grateful that they started making you purchase permits to go to the place so on Saturday the 23rd of July when we went there the water was very low because of our high heat and drought that we have been having but there was only I'm going to say maybe 20 people there in Blue Hole which is great still overwhelmingly nice the waterfalls were running but again not as full as the water table used to be enjoy yourself if you go and are able to get a permit to go look at this beautiful site but just remember whatever you bring in take out let's keep this place looking beautiful and...

This is a beautiful park that is kind of hard to find. There are some very easy trails to walk. Down the main trail about a mile and a half is a beautiful water falls. In the summer you can wade or dip. the pools are not deep enough to swim. We were just there in April and it was very wet in spots and sadly to say there were a lot of people who have now discovered this park. If you can get navigation to it then you will have a wonderful day. We have been going here for more than 20 years and it is still as...

Sites must be booked 1-2 weeks in advance. Sites are on and off the water's edge, pretty sure fires are not allowed due to the abundance of trees. You must have a permit to camp, and you can't even go down to the water to put your feet in unless you have a permit. They are only $10/night and that covers up to 6 people. But I'd hold out and camp elsewhere.

Port-o-potties could use a bit of care...even for an outhouse, which says a whole lot.

Staff members at the parking lot were friendly and...
