Small pulloff for a few cars near trail, but there is a little lot down the road for more cars. The trail was narrow, but not hard to find. Some poison ivy though, so keep a sharp eye near the road. It's a short walk downhill to the upper falls. Templar Falls is small, but picturesque. You can walk across the stream on the stones at the top of the falls to the camping spot. A family was camping there, so we didn't cross. The directions we found to the smaller lower falls would have sent us through the campsite, so we didn't go to the lower falls. Instead, we walked in both directions on the opposite side of the stream. Upstream, you can walk a ways on the edges of the stream. Probably helpful to have water shoes, but we went as far as we could without them. Very pretty. Downstream, a few paths branch off the entrance trail, above the water. Read moreTwo stage falls right off the road. No official trail to the bottom of the falls but it can be done. Also an unofficial campsite with picnic table but no outhouse. It is on the flx trail and you can do a fairly easy hike of about a mile or less into the Buck Settlement Leanto. Also an old cemetary and the remains of an old dam right up the trail. Parking off the side of road for a few cars as well as additional pulloffs just up the road. Bears and big cats have been spotted...
Read moreIt's a little sad because it feels somewhat abandoned and forgotten. It's an outdoor place that's worth stopping because it's a nice walk. I'm actually very curious about its history because of that little tiny cemetery is just hidden up inside here. The falls isn't much and the picnic table appears to be an extreme antique, so it almost seems like this place is a bit forgotten, but I'm assuming its care was cut from New York State's budget because it's really not...
