This is paradise. Visited beginning of october to camp next to the lake. The Autumn colors were out of this world. The sites are very spacious. We arrived late, and unfortunately campground map is not too clear. We were "lost" inside for about half hour looking for our site. Planned to stay for 4 nights but only lasted one. Raccoons stole our foods, invaded our tents and ripped them off. Nowhere on the website or campground is any warning about raccoons. We have camped all over and it was our first experience like this. Read moreGreat NYS park with over 200 campsites. There are sites located on the water or more remote sites that require you to walk into them. They sell ice bad wood on site. Beach area is nice and staffed by lifeguards. There are hiking trails and the entrance to Debar Mountain is located from inside the park. This is a remote location and doesn’t have a camp store. The nearest grocery store is 25 miles away in Malone, NY so plan accordingly! No cell reception with AT&T however there is a free phone at the entrance should...

There are no showers on the West side of the camp, so you will walk or drive about a mile and a half to get a shower. We had no phone reception the whole time we were there, so if there is an emergency that could...
