Apart from the stunning views you'll be able to enjoy their weekend catered brunches from Gershon's Deli that comes with a beverage while you explore vendor tents or enjoy the feel of the indoor space. Smoked salmon, cream cheese, danishes, bagels, and hot plates - small bites won't weigh you down as you mingle with the owner and learn about their horn cups, meadery, or methods.
Birds of prey are stationed out front for your viewing and education although, your kids won't mind seeing owls up close and personal. It's National Geographic up live and close.
Axe throwing and archery are also two safe activities offered on site if you haven't yet stopped by Season 8's Fored In Fire's Paul Crosby - a blacksmith offering a wide array of tools and knowledge. From knives to bottle openers, his one of a kind damascus works are beautiful.

Read moreI’m obsessed with the vibes here! From sipping mead out of horn cups to exploring the faering (a Viking boat) outside, Helderberg Meadworks feels like a magical escape. I especially love the Esperance location for its gorgeous views and the option to sit outside by a bonfire.
The stunning views are matched by the fun, Nordic-inspired interiors. The decor, seating, and bar all add to the atmosphere, and even the bartenders fit right in! Service is great—they're so sweet and knowledgeable about the meads as well.
As for the mead, it’s absolutely delicious. I recommend trying a flight to sample the different flavors before picking your favorite for a full glass. I loved them all, but my top pick has to be Loki’s Lure—a rich blend of coffee and cacao. Other favorites are the Heritage and Black Currant.
The one thing I do wish the meadery offered is snacks. It would be nice to have something to munch on while enjoying the drinks.
Beware of the mead though—it’s so tasty and goes down so easily, you might find yourself tipsy before you...
Read moreAs an avid fan of alcohol, I decided to drag my fiancee to this place. We've been to dozens and dozens of breweries around the country and sampled even more dozens of styles, so it would be a safe assumption we'd like this place.
And we loved it! We've never been to a meadery before, so we didn't really know what to expect. Here, we had sampled 16 different beverages: Five traditional meads, six mead varieties, three ciders, a braggot, and a switchel. Our server behind the bar was very helpful and her knowledge of everything available was perfect for the questions we asked.
I loved them all, but my favorites were the Session (a light carbonated mead), the Heritage (a semi-sweet traditional mead), the Cherry Cider, and the Black Currant mead (semi-dry mead variety).
We left extremely satisfied with multiple bottles, a newfound appreciation for mead, and a reason to drive to Esperance. Highly...
