Deer Park Buddhist Center — Attraction in Town of Dunn

It was absolutely beautiful. I hadn't seen anything like that since I was in South East Asia. There was a monk in glass who I believe started this temple. At first I saw him and I was taken back by him. I went closer and he is life like. He almost looks like he is stuffed. I wanted to be respectful so I didn't go to close. It is open to the public. Absolutely incredible. The people were so nice and friendly. Upon arrival, we were welcomed and treated as guests. A monk spoke to us about his past and the rules they follow for an hour. Not once did I think about time. There was a translator who was very kind and easy to listen too. We were allowed to walk around inside and outside to gain more knowledge. I visited the temple last month just to see what it was like. I had recently returned from Vietnam and was interested to see how it compared to the Buddhist Temples/Pagodas out there. It's very peaceful, almost as if it's just being in the presence of the temple that makes you feel safe and peaceful.
