Small lake on one side, big roaring waterfall on the other. I parked at the playground area and found a charming little trail through the woods to the waterfall. (Or you can walk a short distance on the road). I sat on a rock practically in the middle of the falls to take pics, it was so peaceful and serene. I grew up coming here all the time every year and it's grown into a really amazing place to be with nature! I love the community camping they host yearly for those of us who are handy cap/special needs for a week and let them experience camping because there are a lot of people who don't get the chance to have that experience and I think that is a really awesome thing to do. Read moreA very pretty area on a big beautiful lake. Lots of rocks and flowers, a few camping spots, swimming, fishing, hiking, a playground, a tavern across the way to wet your whistle, and a good sized waterfall. The Mayflies are a bit atrocious this time of year, but we didn't have any problems with mosquitoes and only had three ticks (eww, lol). There's a nice trail by the waterfall that follows the river. We hit it at a great time to see the light playing on the water. I recommend stopping here and checking it out...
