It is a pleasant place if you don't expect too much. It is essentially an expanded parking rest area with a great view. You actually can see the mountains of New Hampshire in the distance, as well as Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, but you should really bring a pair of binoculars. If you plan it as a simple day trip with this as a tailgating picnic mini party, it could make for a great get together. I would suggest that the DOT administration put up an information board to explain the location, as there isn't anything there in the way of educational or informative...

Fortunate and unfortunate. Fortunate for the environment the trees in the area are growing quite healthy and lushly. Unfortunately for the view it's losing some of its impact in the summer, as trees on the ground level have grown high enough to obstruct the view of the ground in most of the parking lot so that you don't get much of a view other than mountain tops. The sunset is nice but the view is not as nice as other areas however most of those areas aren't open to the public. On the way there don't drive too quick otherwise you'll miss...

Pin is misleading (the parking area with dumpsters of a restaurant / B&B a little higher up the mountain that you have to sit down and have a drink or meal to really enjoy the view), go 1.5 miles down the mountain and you'll see a pull-off with what's probably the correct lookout. Would have been 5 stars if lookout had seating, garbage can and a sign and diagram explaining what...

Great view, fall colors are very pretty up at this spot. Plenty of parking spots when I arrived around 2. Only thing I was really disappointed with is that there are no signs or info about what direction each state is in. So it's a great view but no idea what spots are what states. They really should have a sign with further info.

With a drone 385' in the air it's an impressive view.....from parking lot it's a nice view of green trees hindering all views from all angles without any signage telling you what you are infact looking at. Summer seems to not be the ideal time to go see this over look I'm told fall and winter are the best times to go.
