Wanted to take a moment to say thank you to the gang at 360 East for a great event! If you're considering 360 East, check out the below! We got married at 360 East in October of 2018, and had an amazing experience. Thank you to Doug, John, and staff for a great event. If you’re going to have your wedding here, there are a few things you want to know: The Good and Great: The room is absolutely beautiful – the high ceilings and chandeliers photograph amazingly well, and the full surround of windows makes for a beautiful sunset. Guests loved the room, and we did too. The food was amazing - among the best we’ve had at weddings, and other guests said the same. The staff worked the event extremely efficiently, especially John, the Maitre D’, who was extremely attentive and responsive to our needs. The bridal suite was a welcome reprieve from the hubbub, and the afterparty was a great, relaxed atmosphere with spot on food for the sixth and seventh hours at the bar. Doug went out of his way to make a few last minute adjustments, and we appreciate it. The best thing we can say about the venue is – on the night of, we had zero worries about the venue. Everything ran smoothly, the room was beautiful, the staff was easy to work with. We loved our wedding at 360 East. What Needs Some Work: Doug, the main contact, is an incredible salesperson, and represents his room extremely well. On the day of, he runs a tight ship, and a great event. Leading up to the event, however, he has a policy of communicating only by phone – which sounds like a great way of avoiding miscommunication, until you discover that any communication happens without a paper trail, so any miscommunication becomes a “you said” “no I didn’t” with no evidence to back it up (in either direction). This is frustrating when wires get crossed – and Doug can sometimes come across patronizingly during these conversations. Also despite numerous mentions of a particular family situation that required sensitivity – this was missed or ignored, causing a moment of stress. Thankfully, it was smoothed-over pretty quick. Not a game-changer, but room for improvement. What You Need to Know: 150 people is perfect for the room – any more than that is too much, unless your guests make a habit of not dancing most of the time. With 2/3 of our guests on the dance floor, it was fully packed with no additional room, and we even had to move the cake to make sure it wasn’t bumped over. They may say the room can fit 200+, but in our experience, there’s no chance that is true for any wedding that includes a significant portion of the guests dancing. At 150, however, it is great! Should You Consider 360 East? Absolutely. If the venue, or you as a wedding-to-be, can take into account some of what was said above, it’s a tremendous place to have a wedding event. We hope...
Read more360 East at Montauk Downs was the absolute perfect place to get married. From the first day we started working with Doug (General Manager) to the last minute of the night, our wedding went so smoothly with all the details that we wanted. Montauk has always been near and dear to my husband and I's heart, and we knew we would want to get married there. We had our ceremony at the Catholic Church (Father Tom gave an incredible message) and then our reception at 360 East. The views around the deck are so beautiful as the sun sets, and then the transitions into the beautiful room was seamless. Doug, Jake, and the team did such a spectacular job in making our day better than we could have ever hoped for. The food was to die for, all of our guests told us they thought it was delicious! The lighting of the big chandeliers is breathtaking and the wood panels make the room very unique. We added a raw bar for the cocktail hour, which had 2 shuckers giving out the fresh oysters. Doug works with you on what works well for the room and what doesn't. All of the Lessings vendors that are recommended did such a fantastic job in making our vision come to life. I would highly recommend the venue to any bride and groom looking to have an event that will blow your guests away. Thank you so much to our vendors especially Doug and Jake, for making our day the best day of our lives. We are so appreciative of all of your hard work. To any of the brides and grooms out there, you won't regret getting...
Read moreDEFINITELY GET MARRIED HERE! My wife and I got married at 360 East in October of 2021, and we were absolutely in love with everything about this place. First of all, to say that the manager, Doug, was a pleasure to work with is a complete understatement. He was like our saving grace during the extremely stressful process of trying to plan a wedding during these crazy times of COVID. He was always open and honest with us, and he supported us through many stressful moments as we had to postpone our wedding TWICE! There's tons of decisions to make, but Doug is a master at his craft and will always lead you in the right direction. After our meetings with him, we always felt comfortable that our wedding day was in his hands. On top of that, his staff, especially his maître d' (special shout out to Jonathan!) and bridal attendant treated us like royalty on the day of our wedding; we always had a drink waiting for us, food in our suite and at our table, and anything else we needed without even asking. We had our ceremony at the bluffs in Montauk which has a backdrop of the ocean and the lighthouse; talk about the most beautiful place to get married! The venue itself is gorgeous with high vaulted ceilings, dark wood, and really unique lights. Not to mention the 360 view with windows all around. The food was some of the best wedding food we've ever had and our guests are still raving about the entire day. Do yourself a favor and look no further; this place is...
