We went to visit my cousin in Montauk and she told us we should go to a sculpture garden on private property that memorializes victims of terrorism. I expected a granite monolith, with some well thought out personal touches, and a list of names. Encouraged by the welcoming signs posted with hours of ten AM to noon, I entered the yard and was immediately struck by the exhibition, directly connected to the mothers of the victims, captured in larger than life sculptures of them and their physical reactions to the horror they faced learning their children had been murdered in the name of hate in the Pan Am /Lockerbie attack in 1988.
