Crown Hill Farm — Attraction in Town of Eden

We visited the farm for a dinner with the Chef from the Albright Knox Art Gallery.

The whole experience was magical.

The event was 4hrs long and included:

A tour of the farm with Missy (the owner) who is SUPER knowledgeable about farming, animal care, climate care, environmental protection, traditional farming methods, and more. We were able to feed the sheep, and see her whole farm and ask questions along the tour.

The dinner was 5 courses, most all of the food was selected from the farm and local ingredients from Chef Jess and her butcher shop. It was served on a large dining table, and each course was well prepared, served at the appropriate temperatures, and the service during the meal kept my water full and left me wanting for nothing.

There was also live music during the event, played at the perfect volume and kept the ambiance perfectly for a quiet conversation with my wife, or including some of our new friends we were sitting next to.

We also opted for the wine pairing which was presented wonderfully by a local winery. Each varietal was explained as it was poured, and the “wine nerd” was enthusiastic about answering any questions we had.

All in all this farm is more than a dinner place — but if you can get tickets to a dinner...

I was a guest at Crown Hill Farm for a public screening of my feature length food documentary. I stayed in the farm house and had a very enjoyable stay. While visiting there was also a CSA pickup and farm to table dinner. I'm very impressed by the passion and work of the farm's owner Missy and I also donated to her recent campaign to make upgrades to the farm which was not only successful but she has already completed...

I signed up for an egg and flower share one dreary winter day last year on a whim, and kind of forgot about it. When the time came to start picking them up it was such a wonderful surprise. Especially during the early panicky, very isolated days of Covid, it was a beautiful gift to feel so connected to our local community farms.
