We recently hosted our rehearsal dinner at Anchored Roots, and it was amazing! We had a very difficult time finding a space in Door County in November that was A) available B) reasonably priced C) flexible with food options (as we had guests with dietary restrictions). Anchored Roots hit all those boxes! We've been to the winery several times, so already knew we loved the wines and the space. They provided the entire taproom for us, tables/chairs/tablecloths, and served beer/wine as well as some non-alcoholic options for our non-drinkers. We had to cater in our own food, but we definitely preferred that since we had to keep a few special diets in mind, and it also allowed us to easily stick to our budget. Amy was so nice to work with and made sure our event ran smoothly. Can't...
Read moreA must stop! This winery is newer to the area having only been in business for 3 years. They a nice deal where they knock $10 (tasting cost) off the purchase of any bottle. I really enjoyed my selections. The Passage and Ledge Blanc wines were my favorite. I really appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the high level of interaction each guest received. During a tasting, I love learning about wine, the owner’s inspiration, a fun story, etc. The staff did just that for each pour. Read moreOK, I admit it. I'm a wine snob. When we visit a small, local winery, we want wines made from grapes grown at a small, local winery. And Anchored Roots provided. The owner opened a tiny bit early for us (I didn't note the time, but we did a tasting and bought a bottle to take with us, and had a conversation with her, and still left one minute after they opened). She was friendly, knowledgeable about the area and the Wisconsin Ledge AVA. And the wines they make from their own local grapes are WONDERFUL. Add this winery to your list of places to stop in...
