This is my favorite beach to go to in Door County. It has a volleyball net, playground equipment, shelter and picnic tables, bathroom facility with changing areas, boat landing, beach, and a huge pier that boats can be tied up to. A lot of the sand is now underwater, but there is still plenty of room for chairs and sitting by the water. The water was a beautiful green blue and clean. Very nice swimming sand beach (outside of alewife season (cruddy little fish that die off in droves and wash up for a week at some point each summer). Great place for a picnic or a volleyball game, bring a frisbee! Take a walk through the cedar woods or along the beach. Read moreThis has been my go to beach since I was a young child. So many happy memories here. The greatest thing is the dog friendliness. A great place for a happy day at the beach with your dog! Just remember to keep them under control and clean up after them. Unfortunately this place is taken over by the Door County triathlon and other runs and rides during the tourist season.
