Plum Bottom Gallery — Attraction in Town of Egg Harbor

Love these galleries! My most recent purchase of a couple vases and a pumpkin at the newer Sturgeon Bay gallery was another great experience. Each of the Plum Bottom Galleries scattered throughout the Door County peninsula are a bit unique, carrying some different artists at each place. The space is always wonderful, well-displayed, with an eclectic array of media and artists. They go far beyond simply showing wall art. There's jewelry, art glass, pottery, yard art, unique lamps, ornaments and so much more. The staff are always knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, without being pushy. (And they are patient, since it always takes me a while to choose what I want from their wonderful collections!) Things get wrapped up nicely, and they will ship items. I came to the gallery in Fish Creek looking for a dragonfly themed gift for a friend's birthday. The gallery itself is beautiful with elegant, brightly lit displays. I was short on time as my family and I were headed back to lower Michigan, but I wanted a special gift from the Door County area for my friend. I explained what I was looking for to the woman working that day, and I'm ashamed to say I don't remember her name. What I do remember is how she went out of her way to help me find something perfect for my friend. She directed me to several pieces, looked for other pieces not on display and looked up items available at the other gallery locations. I have been visiting Plum Bottom Gallery for probably 8 years or so. It is always one of my first stops when I arrive in Door County. This year I of course stopped and purchased earrings and a bracelet for myself and two pairs of earrings as gifts. There are so many wonderful pieces of art to choose from...from handmade jewelry to painted art, sculpture, garden art, and much more. The staff are all knowledgeable, kind and appreciative of the wonderful job they have of selling these beautiful items. They also have a great website and wonderful customer service.
