First off this place nickel and dimes you over everything. I planned a week stay here because my son was going to stay the week down the road at a Boys Scout camp. We came up the day before we had to drop him off at the Boy Scout camp and they charged us $8 for my 12 year old to stay one night. Then a couple of days later some friends of ours that lived down the road came by for a couple of hours to hang out. The office at Otter Lake wouldn’t let them in. They charged them $16 for the two of them to come onto our camp site for 2 hours. That’s very disheartening after paying for a week stay at one of their full hook up sites. The bathrooms were very dated and the showers were dirty. I am going to try to put up some pictures. Dead bugs all over the shower. The camp sites are very tight as well. The neighboring sites are right on top of you. *Oh by the way if you are pulling a trailer listen up! The directions they give you on the website suck (very dangerous road- narrow, hilly and very curvy road). Best way to go is to take Resica Fall Rd (402) to Coolbaugh Rd. Take Coolbaugh Road to the end (about 7 miles). At the end of that road make a left and then the campsites will be on your right in a 1000 feet. Again, my family and I go camping a lot and we wanted to come here for a while. After spending a week here we aren’t coming back.
I just put up some photos- one of them is of a small white plastic garbage can in one of the showers that I think someone urinated in. It’s been in that busy shower room for at least 6 hours with out someone coming in and...
Read moreWe have been coming to Otter Lake for years. The campground is super fun and very dog friendly. They do an awesome job providing many activities such as ball games, contests, evening entertainment, etc. There are plenty of choices. The lake is nice and is stocked with fish. My husband enjoys using his trolling motor to get around and catches plenty of bass, pickerel, and blue gills. I enjoy kayaking and using my SUP. The swimming beach is nice and there are outdoor and indoor pools as well. The indoor pool offers a couple of jacuzzis and a sauna. Be warned the jacuzzis run on quarters (this seems a bit much). The lakefront sites are highly sought after and can be difficult to reserve. The majority of the sites offer some degree of privacy but some are definitely nicer than others. There is a camps tore that offers the basics as well as ice cream and they have propane and firewood if you run out. We really enjoy coming to Otter Lake and look forward to...
Read moreIf you have children and need somewhere that is fun and safe for them to be kids, this is the place. They have activities for all ages throughout the day, indoor pool, hot tubs, sauna, private lake to swim and fish (no license required ), outdoor pool, tennis courts, softball field, basketball court, paddle board courts, activity center, arcade and the list continues from there. We camp a lot and always truly appreciate clean bathrooms and showers and definitely clean with newer tiled personal showers (2017). We look forward to...
