I was wierded out with this one. I love the horror element and darkly mature content involved with this Terror Fields Productions and the near sadistic, physical, in your face sub-context with it. It was truly terrifying and in that arena I give 5 stars.
But in the dark room upstairs while making my way through pitch black I bumped into a group of high school kids who instantly panicked and accused me of grabbing them and other disgusting acts in the dark. Defamation. I was in no way trying to harm them and simply bumped into them in the dark and apologized, but was accused and threatened by them of being a creep in front of my brother, the staff, and other patrons. I work with EMS and was especially disturbed at these accusations since domestic abuse calls and anxiety are no joke. Some of those kids were short of having a panic attack, red faces, agitated, and in a fight or flight mindset. I was also horrified at what happened and felt bad for triggering their panic. I suggest to the owners and anyone going in the future to this location be explicitly 19 years old and up with the right mind set and to immediately remove all parties involved in incidents like this, then interview everyone involved. Security and police were around anyway. It is a lawsuit or genuine assault waiting to happen for no good reason and I don’t want that for you guys or anyone else.
By no means does that mean this haunt was a bad one or unprofessional. It freaky and it was terrifying. It met that quota. Maybe too well.
I will give extreme points to the staff for their exceptional professionalism during this misadventure deescalating the anxiety, but felt everyone from all parties involved should have been removed immediately. No one was. That is probably my single biggest complaint. Beware who is around u and please don’t tolerate anything like this guys, it seriously freaked me out and not in the fun jump scare way, and those kids too.
Halloween is suppose to be a fun time for kids and...
Read moreWell we wanted different and we got different. We go to a lot of haunted houses in and around the Syracuse area and beyond to Pennsylvania, Ohio, etc. Terror Field crossed the line from entertainment into harassment. We had a group of 4 in our party and we were called all profane names in the book. We had a clinically depressed person with us and he was called an ugly virgin, and had his teeth jabbed with a toothbrush, and a real ax held to his throat. He left with a bloody puffed lip. He was also shoved into a morgue drawer and dragged out of it. I don’t mind being touched but come on!
When we tried to opt out of certain parts of this “entertainment,” the actors retaliated and called us all sorts of names. The sexual innuendo throughout the house was inappropriate. We couldn’t go past one person until we agreed that we liked to take a body part up the arse. They say that the house is not for those 12 and under. Let me say that it should say not for 18 or under. There were kids in the line and I feel bad that they were subjected to such filth.
We met one of the owners and he is a super nice guy and Trixie walking around inside and outside was super fun and entertaining. The house was not fun at all, was super degrading, and our party was super humiliated. Again we go to tons of haunted houses every year and this one was an insult. Like I said, we wanted different and we got it, but different is not always good. Be warned and be prepared for lots of in your face torment. The house lasted awhile but it was not worth the $20 per person that we paid. I guess the people of Clyde, NY like this kind of stuff but it...

This place was a lot of fun and not for the faint of heart. It's not that long but more than appropriately priced for what you get. It's indoors, so that is nice if the weather isn't great. There were no dead spots without actors and every room offered something unique and genuinely scary.
There was a ton of detail in each and every room and all of the actors were on-point and in character the whole time. They had great sets and effects! No trick was overused and nothing felt gimmicky.
As someone who has frequented many different haunted houses (and paid tons of money to do so) all over the east coast, I truly appreciate what they are doing in this quality, reasonably-priced haunt. I hope they succeed and continue to grow!
Yes, their website needs to be completely redone (as of this writing) but don't let that turn you off as it almost did for me. They've obviously focused on the quality of the haunt itself.
Warning: They will touch you and possibly use fowl language, which for me...
