What a pleasant surprise! Who knew this was here? I drove right by it the day before.🤦♂️ They have a unique layout and some very well put together exhibits. In many ways I enjoyed this museum better than some of the larger ones I've been to 😀 They have a very famous airplane there which flew in D-Day and then flew back 70 years later for the anniversary! Apparently the Memphis Belle was also here for several years until a few years ago 🫤 Many of their aircraft are still flying and available for rides! I was there on a Sunday and nothing was flying. Definitely a hidden gem. Lots of history here. Much to read and learn👨🏫

We attended our nephew's commissioning into the airforce along 12 other very well deserving bright young men & women & this place was a perfect background. These were proud moments for those families & friends who attended. We did check out the planes while we were there. Amazing to see these historic planes restored by volunteers. Worth visiting if you are in this beautiful area. Photos of my husband Douglas & our nephew Jakob a proud marine giving his nephew second lieutenant his first salute. His father and mother both Marines pinning sons rank along with his sister.

This place is definitely worth a visit! Admission is $8 a person and normally they offer tours but we were fine walking around by ourselves. There were several volunteers doing plane maintenance and they were more than happy to answer questions and share vast knowledge. We were able to enter several planes, sit in cockpits, and take our time exploring. The museum also includes military vehicles, uniforms, memorabilia, and so much more. Outside there are additional large planes to admire and explore. This is a wonderful experience for the entire family.

I got the chance to fly on the B-17 bomber (the Memphis Belle). It was an absolutely amazing experience! Not only is it a great piece of history (I believe only 11 are Still functional in the world today) but my grandfather was a gunner on one of these planes in WWII so I got to see a part of his past too. The staff at the museum were great and very accommodating. I look forward to bringing my family to check out more of the planes and to maybe fly in the C-47! It really is a once in a lifetime experience.

A true gem of historic Aviation .Well maintained with a great air show every July .The air show is lots of fun being able to walk up to air craft and events to win rides on the historic aircraft .A lot of venders are set up for food and merchandise as well .Also if you show up with your classic car you get free admission check there face book for those details. Also you can bring your own cooler and admission prices are a great value for what you see and the shows they perform .

I went along with my father and nephew who wanted to go. Even though this wasn’t really my ‘thing’ I found it very interesting. A tour guide was not available, but there is an audio tour which is well done. Also, we had the good luck to encounter a volunteer, Don, in the hanger. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the technology and history. Four stars rather than five because there are accessibility issues for an older person using a wheelchair.
