While the church itself is beautiful, trying to get a wedding ceremony set up is extremely difficult. They wanted to wait until a couple months before our wedding to look at the church, but we requested to see it sooner. Just to find out that they will not be opening the church due to high school graduation falling on the same weekend. While I can absolutely understand this, that should've been discussed with us when we asked about a date back in June/July of this year for a wedding in June of 2026. Meanwhile, we show up to view the church and 2 minutes in are asked if we are set on the date after sending save the dates out. Yes, we're set on the date. We were also told that another couple had requested that day too, so why not just call and let us know about it? Luckily we didn't put any money down, but it was really a shame to not get any support, only told "well there's other churches you can go to" very unprofessional. As the oldest standing building in Herkimer Co, the grave sites, the battles and the feasts can almost be imagined if you close your eyes.
