Excellent getaway! Stayed 2 nights in a tent, and had an awesome time! The tent sites are large and have enough trees and foliage between them that you are separated from your neighbors enough to relax in relative privacy. There are no reservations, so if you are from the area, you may want to plan ahead and get there early. We arrived about 2 in the afternoon on a Fri, and there were a few good sites left, however, most of the heavily wooded sites were already taken. The tent sites do not have power or water, so plan ahead for that. There is no staff on site for registration, you pick your site, fill out the envelope, put the payment (cash, and local Green Bay checks only) in the envelope, and drop it in the registration box. You may not bring your own wood for fires from farther than 25 miles away from the park in order to slow the spread of wood borne insects. There is a parks official that comes around with a truck filled with wood you can purchase for $5 a bundle. "Check out" time is 3pm Overall, a great park with an unbelievable trail from the main area to the beach head that takes you through scenic cliffs that look like something out of a South American jungle down to the Eastern shore of Green Bay where there is swimming, fishing, and a public boat launch. The park is located about 15 min north of Green Bay, so if you want or need to get "out of the woods" for whatever reason, you are very close to all the modern conveniences you...
Read moreStayed two weeks here in a 44 ft tag axle motorhome. #50 was 50 amp, level on end spot w/ easy back in. Note there's only a few 50amp sites that are level, most are nose down. Even though #50 was a fcfs site w/ ability to stay 21 days when you check in, we were asked to move a few days into our reservation b/c a camphost from a different area needed a two week temp stay and they wanted our site. So we moved to site #38, 30amp. There's trees and shade throughout the cg but you can maneuver with care through the roads. Nicely maintained, clean with improvements being made currently. Tent sites in separate loop. All sites asphalt pavement with space between you and your neighbor. You can reserve odd numbered sites online. Even numbered sites are FCFS. Many available fcfs sites if arriving Sun-Thurs. All sites book up usually by Thurs afternoon. Very nice playground and park including jump pad, corn hole. Boat dock nearby, asphalt bike/walking trail goes along outside loop of cg. You can ride trail to ice cream place in Dykesville. They serve burgers and such and friday fish special. We did the Lambeau Field Tour while here. There's a bowling alley in Dykesville that serves decent food. Pretty quiet campground except weekends can get loud with a mix of all kinds of campers. The long time camphosts here, Pat and his wife were lovely and helped with our positive experience here! We would definitely...
Read moreGreat place to camp for a night or a week or three or just a day trip with the family this park can accommodate it all! The campground hosts are friendly and helpful and the rangers are knowledgeable and experienced, priced right whether you require electric and water at $32 or roughing it rustically at only $22 per night. Also your close enough to Green Bay that if you forget something it's a short drive to the city and yet you're far enough away to forget about the hustle and bustle of City Life. The wild life is certainly abundant with racoons and cute little chipmunks. We even had friendly cat come and hang out with us for dinner a night or two. This beautiful place is located on the bay of Green Bay has a great boat launch and plenty of beachfront although the beach is a little rough and needs work. I would recommend Bayshore campground to anyone...
