If I could give it no stars I would!! I don’t know why people think the wooded area(the trail) is apart of the fenced in dog part....it’s NOT!!! The owners of the dog park and town even put up signs saying do not come in the wooded area with your animal!! Out of control dog park and the owners are worst then the animals. The owners always have their animals unleashed and it could become an unsafe environment. The dog park is where your dogs should be not outside the fenced property. Rumbrook park has been there for years and there weren't any problems until this dog park was built. I've seen owners ripping down signs that the park put up about leaving the dog park and having your dog off a leash which is crazy because it's town property. It's sad because there are owners who do follow the rules and have their animal on a leash An then you have people who just don't care. When people leave the dog park with their animals they unleash them and let them do WATEVER and sometimes animals wonder behind people backyards, which means the owner has to chase the animal on another persons property which is trespassing. On top of that when owners enter the wooded area they make noise which is not fair to tax payers that own their property. 5 or 6am these people are making a lot of noise calling for dogs because they ran off and the animal is barking like crazy as well which is so annoying especially on weekends when people have off!! Think about it would u like people in your town abusing not only the dog park but the town itself. It needs to be moved to an area where there are no houses or under control with keeping them in the...
Read moreA good dog park with a regular daily crowd. The enclosure space is quite big, but space could be better utilized and the small dog enclosure is very small/sparse. The best feature is the "hidden creek" area found down the path running along the side of the main enclosure- it's not fenced in, but if your dog stays with the pack or listens to being called back off leash, it's a great spot to let your furry pal cool off in a small, shallow creek with their buddies. Downside is that in the main enclosure, you'd be hard pressed not to find garbage or other non desirable items while your dog plays, so stay vigilant about what's in their mouth. Overall however, a very pleasant place to let your dog cut loose to have some exercise and fun! Prepare to get a bit dirty (both you and your dog) as the mulch and dirt base makes for a messy situation- especially after it rains. Would recommend as with any dog park, that you let your dog into the first gate to acclimate to the current crew there before opening the 2nd gate, just to help ensure no bad blood erupts between...
Read moreVery spacious dog park I have a boxer & a bull terrier and they always need plenty of exercise. Every time we come here people get inimidated by my boxer and confuse him with a pitbul & my bull terrier because she’s a little different but they always make new friends . There’s a rule saying if the dog shows signs of aggression to leash it , one time some lady was with her friends talking and talking her dog was growling at mines and snapping I didn’t mind for the simple fact that I know my dogs are annoying since there puppies but it got to a point where her dog almost bit my boxer and the dog had him on the ground and everyone got scared and I was very mad. Like her dog was growling and everything but she didn’t seem to care and as soon as her dog almost bites my dog she finally decided to leash him and leave. Most people that I see always keep an eye on there dog but she didn’t seem to care if her...
