I was looking for a new place to to visit for memorial day and decided to come here.i didn't pay for parking and there's wasn't anyone checking maybe because of the holiday. There's a bike/walking path the east side of the lake. From top to bottom isxnot as long as it looks on Google maps. There's bike and kayak rentals available. The lake its beautiful and very peaceful. There's a spill/waterfall at the top of the lake near the road. It'd definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a nice walk or bike ride. Its only 5 minutes away from the downtown main street area. There's a few benches where and sit and enjoy the beautiful lake...

An amazingly shaded trails for the hot summer days. It’s pretty well maintained and offers very long trail system. Lake itself is very clean and offers variety of fish. You’ll need to get a fishing permit including Tarrytown permit as well. There is usually kayak rental place by the lake that offers kayaks for $35/4-6 Hours. Parking is usually very easy to find. Some part of trails are bad for the phone service but hey, it won’t hurt to be unplugged...

Pros: lots of shady trails all around the park and maps. Lots of parking. The parking isn't free but no one checks so it can be free. Lol. I love the big posters of flowers and it's dog friendly and clean. Maps. Bathrooms. Buildings with into and people.

Cons: parking is not free and the lot is in the sun . There are maps but it doesn't say where you are. The trails are very confusing . It says you can swim but I have no idea where The water...

This a great location for a solo day in nature or with family. I love to kayak, bike and enjoy local restaurants on the river. The lake is an easy 1st kayak experience for anyone, adults with small children welcome!
