The Pine Bush Preserve is very accessible. I love that's it's kid friendly. For anyone interested in taking their kids for an easy short hike try the BLUE trail, the shortest of the three trails. Takes anywhere from 40 mins to an hour depending on pace. The longer trails are nice too but I found toddlers tiring easily and asking to be carried. Trails are well marked and maps available at the trail heads. Help to preserve one of Earth's most precious gems, right here in...

The first time I went with my dog he encountered anywhere from 20-30 ticks (literally). I was scared for his well being. The second time my GF and I went here for a bird listening study and checked ourselves for ticks before we jumped in the car. Got home found a minuscule tick on myself and my GF found 2 on her and 1 in her hair. THE PINE BUSH PRESERVE HAS A VERY SERIOUS TICK ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. 2. There is a massive city dump on...
