I’m really glad I found this place, it’s so beautiful and serene. I didn’t see or run into anyone else on a Saturday afternoon. There’s a trail at the top of the ridge but you’re on your own to find your way to the top (and back down) so try to park in a spot with easier access at the bottom.

Hogback was way in the middle of nowhere that I felt uneasy. There was no established trail up the hill. The base of the hill was heavily overgrown in late summer with stinging nettles and chest high bramble. I forced my way through and suffered blisters, scrapes and bug bites.
