We loved our first time to Association Island! We stayed on H27 facing the bay from 18-21 Aug 23. I did read a lot of negative reviews but that wasnt our experience at all. The woman who checked us in was super friendly and they even had a fellow in a golf cart that escorted us to our site and made sure we got the camper in a good spot. I do agree though that the pad, which is really Road millings , should be even with the grass, I see broken ankles happening but we were just extra careful going in and out of our camper. The campground was super clean and quiet and everyone was very friendly saying hello etc. we have already booked for next year! I dont think, though, that I would make the 5 hour trip if we didn’t have a site right on the water, that’s the big draw for us and I do wish the little restaurant and store were open a bit later since the closest Walmart is 30 mins away. All in all worth every mile driven to get there!!

Our family camped here at Association Island this past weekend. We found the employees friendly, the campsite was clean, and the area quite beautiful. This stay was during Covid-19, so the restrooms and facilities were closed. The island appears to be slightly run down in parts, but perhaps being refurbished? We have 2 teens, and they enjoyed fishing, bicycling, and exploring the island. We ordered food from the cafe on the island, which was very good. The island app was helpful and a good way to stay informed. We enjoyed the views of the sunset and beautiful water scenes provided by Lake Ontario. We all agreed we would like to return to camp when Covid-19 is over. We all agreed that it would be VERY interesting to know the history of the island.

We stayed here for 2 nights last September on a road trip to Maine, and it was beautiful, so we have decided to go back for a week this September. It wasn't busy last year when we went, since it was end of season. It was damp and chilly but we enjoyed our spot (L31) and our view. We have 3 small dogs and there was plenty of space to walk with them. I like this place and the surrounding areas. The history of the Island is interesting and it was very peaceful and relaxing when we stayed.

Association Island is our annual destination!! We always stay in site H01 and have the water on both the front and side of our RV! When we take our boat, the boat slip in right off of our site! We absolutely LOVE Association Island! The owners have done an enormous amount of upgrades to the campground and definitely worth every penny that we pay for the week!! Thank you for being pet friendly for those of us who have 4-legged kids!!! I can't wait to return again next year!!!!

Beautiful views and very friendly staff here! They are in the middle of several upgrades / improvements to the facility that I think will really bump this up to a top notch facility. The only disappointment was that they had taken down the dog park due to construction but with it being off peak season we were able to find some unoccupied space for our dogs to play a little bit.
