Star Orchard has been one of our favorite places to visit year after year, and it continues to be a highlight of the fall season for our family. The orchard is always well-kept, the staff are kind and welcoming, and there’s a relaxed, family-friendly feel that keeps us coming back. We’ve always appreciated the simplicity and charm of the place — it doesn’t feel overly commercialized, just a genuine local orchard experience that focuses on what matters most: quality fruit and a great atmosphere.
One thing that did leave us a little disappointed this year was discovering that they no longer carry their ceramic mugs and other small keepsakes. We’ve enjoyed collecting those items over the years, and they added a nice personal touch to each visit. While it’s certainly not a dealbreaker, it was something we genuinely missed this time around, as those mugs reminded us of past visits and made each trip feel a little more special.
Even with that small change, Star Orchard remains a wonderful destination. The apples are crisp and flavorful, the grounds are beautiful, and it’s a perfect place to slow down and enjoy a bit of classic Wisconsin fall charm. We’ll definitely...
Read moreThis is the best orchard in the area for sure, I've been going here since I was a kid and I am very happy now to be able to bring my kids here. Hopefully they will be able to carry that on and bring their children someday. The staff are always extremely friendly and helpful and always make it a joy to visit. The orchard itself is a pretty good size with quite alot of options and the apples are always top notch! The pricing is very competitive with any of the other orchards around and the other things they have available in their store, i.e. Their caramel, salsa, apple butter, etc, are all really good also. Their caramel apples are amazing, of course, and their pre-picked Honeycrisp apples are always perfectly ripe and juicy. If you are in the area looking for something enjoyable to do you should definitely stop in here...
Read moreToday my family was accused of stealing apples while out for a fun memory making day of picking apples. When it was told to the accusing that the vehicle could be checked to prove they have not taken anything they were still continued to wrongly accuse. I have heard of this multiple times at this place and it is very disappointing. They had a chance to make it right, but then told them that they weren't going to let them buy the 30lbs of apples they picked or they were going to charge them more! Again, nobody stole apples, that is absurd. If they are that paranoid about somebody stealing something as stupid as apples, or if they have a "line" that they are paranoid people will cross over, they shouldn't be open to the public. This place needs to do better. How very sad, they owe my entire family an apology. Do better...
