Historic Buskirk's Covered Bridge — Attraction in Town of Hoosick

The Buskirk Bridge is a wooden covered bridge that crosses the Hoosic River and connects Washington County, NY to Rensselaer County, NY. The bridge was originally built in 1840 and uses a Howe truss design. The bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic places. This bridge is easy to see as there is a large parking lot on the Rensselaer County side of the bridge. This area is also a popular fishing spot. The area around the bridge is very scenic as well and it is worth a look to view both sides of the bridge. Make sure to drive across the bridge. There is a pull off for pictures of the wooden covered bridge but nothing more really. No bathrooms and it is surrounded by private property, but you can get down to the river to fish and you can see evidence of that with the litter left, there was even a used condom, so maybe its a good spot for that 😆 Overall not impressed, but it held my vehicle up as I crossed it so...
