The Buskirk Bridge is a wooden covered bridge that crosses the Hoosic River and connects Washington County, NY to Rensselaer County, NY. The bridge was originally built in 1840 and uses a Howe truss design. The bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic places. This bridge is easy to see as there is a large parking lot on the Rensselaer County side of the bridge. This area is also a popular fishing spot. The area around the bridge is very scenic as well and it is worth a look to view both sides of the bridge. Make sure to drive across the bridge.
