Where do I start?

John and Nancy are some of the most genuine, caring people and wish only for the best for what ever special occasion you are celebrating at their venue. From the first encounter with them to the very last they put mine and my husbands needs/wants first. John was available multiple times to show the venue to family members and simply allow me to scope out the venue when trying to put my vision together. John and Nancy were both quick to respond when questions needed answering and answered with enthusiasm.

The venue has many different tables and set up available to fit exactly what you want. Everything in the venue was thought through perfectly- right down to the cup holders in every bathroom stall (its the little things). When we booked with John he had mentioned a bridal suite being built and he kept to his word. A beautiful spacious suite for the girls to get ready in. With a full bathroom, three salon chairs and mirrors and a comfy couch, what more could you need when getting ready with your party?

The space was clean and was available for use all weekend and setting up was a breeze. John and Nancy had everything organized and tore down for easy pick up the next morning following the wedding. The bartenders that were provided for the event were quick, personable and a great time! They had an excellent selection of domestic beer, wine, specialty beers, liquor and mixers.

Our wedding day went so smooth with no hiccups all with thanks to John, Nancy and Barney the barn dog! I could not recommend...

During January 2020 we went to see the beautiful wedding venue, Windmill Acres. It was still under construction at the time, but Nancy and John were able to put a picture in our head of their ideas and that the venue would be complete by our day. We booked our date, and then the pandemic hit. We were determined to have our wedding on August 1st 2020. Many other couples had rescheduled or canceled their wedding. We ended up being the first wedding at Windmill Acres! I couldn’t imagine our wedding day any other way. This venue is absolutely beautiful! We had our ceremony and reception right at Windmill Acres, our guests were pleased the entire day. Nancy and John were amazing to work with! Through all of the stress and the new rules they were extremely helpful and had great ideas. The venue has everything you would want including bathrooms, seating, tables, tablecloths, benches, a fire pit, a beautiful bar, WIFI and is only a couple of miles away from all of the stores/restaurants and hotels in Watertown. Not only were we totally impressed at the venue and location, our guests made many comments on how beautiful the barn was. We used limited wedding decor because we did not want to take away from the beauty of the barn. I highly recommend Windmill Acres as a venue, it is beyond everything we were...

Where do I even begin to explain how amazing this venue was? My husband and I got married in September of 2025, but we fell in love with this venue in 2023. We booked it right away and it was the best decision ever. Let me just start with the scenery. This is such a picturesque vision for couples who are looking for a classy, but still fun and happy venue. There’s improvements being made all the time and it just takes it to a higher level each and every time. The main thing that we still talk about was the MOUNTAIN of support from John and Nancy. They were both so so kind, welcome, easygoing, and ready to roll with whatever you want to do with your vision. I can’t tell you the amount of times I texted Nancy the most random questions, but she answered them so quickly and with enthusiasm! John is so amazing. He truly loves this business and pours his heart into it. He treats you like one of his own. If you’re planning your wedding for 2026, 2027, and years ahead….PLEASE look into Windmill Acres. I promise you that you will never look back.
