We hiked from Kaaterskill trailhead parking area. We got to see the viewing deck of the falls then Layman’s monument, then to inspiration point. It has incredible views of the valley . This is an awesome hike for all four seasons and is truly inspirational from creeks to platforms to viewing rocks! Very easy hike and highly encourage for all age groups!

Beautiful hike up ! Would be even better in the fall ! Most people wearing masks , but those that weren’t made it difficult to pass due to the small hiking pathway you must climb along the cliffs . Easy/moderate hike for frequent hikers . Lots of mud and still some ice present - wear appropriate shoes

Great hike to this beautiful view point near katerskill falls. The hike is approximately 3.5 mile loop. The view of the valley is good and well worth the hike. The hike itself is intermediate level with few steep spots. So make sure you wear shoes that can give you good grip.

Great hike. Gorgeous views. Amazing.

The signs will direct you to hike the escarpment trail past Layman's Monument. This is a rocky trail. Steep and with a lot of uphill. The older you are the more strenuous it gets.

TIP: After you cross the bridge turn LEFT. Go up the hill following the road. About .7 miles turn right onto orange trail. This goes directly to escarpment trail but avoids the steepest and rockiest sections. At ET turn left and Inspiration is about 15 minutes ahead. ...
