I'm perplexed that everyone likes this dumpy little beach. It has very little to offer and $30 day pass is obscenely overpriced. How can the town demand that with a straight face? Huntington rakes park users over the coals for access to these measly waveless stretches of pebbles, permeated with sand flies, and distinguished from the rest of the LI coast solely by the fact that they're not private property. It can be rented for private parties, and alcohol permits can be obtained.
