Great place to go and have a fun family day ... Bad part is if you don't live in the town, they don't even let you pay a 1 day fee to enter now. There are workarounds if you use your brain I went there for over 10 years with my kids on the weekends, and it's just a great Old school park your car, walk 30 ft & go to the beach.
Relax See the water from any place there and enjoy life. Rocky beach for sure, bring water shoes or old sneakers and watch a sunset and be happy your alive
Long Island costs a lot of money to live here and some people say it's overpriced, but I can tell you if you don't live on a coast, a lot of people have to jump on a plane, to have access to this kinda place

Read moreIt's a beautiful beach, but the town of Huntington does little to nothing to keep these grounds pristine. If you go to Smithtown beaches and parks, they are kept up and groomed. I see town trucks come to park here for lunch or a hideout. But they fail to send workers down to groom the parking lot, shrubs. Sweep the sand off the edge or even repair or maintenance. Its all to a minimum if at all. The price of a sticker and the taxes they charge in this town. You would think they would keep up the town beach and park as a representation of what they do for the people. But you can see the cars the representatives and supervisors drive it is going into Luxury and pleasure rather than we the people of the residency of the town of Huntington. Frank Patronne was a perfect example Of the corruption and lining of the pockets of supervisors. (If you like my review, please...

They no longer give out senior stickers, once you sign up for the season, your license plate is scanned (entered) for future entry. And is enforced by public safety. Non senior residents of Town of Huntington pay $40 for the season. Large beach with lifeguards generally till 6pm. Pavillion seating, small boardwalk, gender specific restrooms only on beach no family restroom is only drawback. Town needs to be better with restroom up keep. The toilets are ancient. But the staff tries it's best to keep clean. Excellent 5-12 year old playground. Concession stand offers...
