Terry Farrell Park — Attraction in Town of Huntington

Terry Farrell park has a playground, tennis court, and a basketball ball court. All but the tennis court is open to the public. Im in town visiting family. I spotted not only a playground but a tennis court, while running errands. This park got the ideal park for my and my family. My children typically plays in the playground while my husband and I play tennis in the park we go to in Florida. However this wasn’t the case here. The tennis court gates were all locked. It's beautiful. It really is. But it is NOT tailored to smaller/younger children. The stairs don't even go to the slide. Everytime my little one wanted to go down the slide, I had to lift her up. There is also no shade whatsoever. So on a warmer day, be ready to sweat. The walking area is nice and clear. The tennis courts look good too. The covered pavilion area is very clean with plenty of trash cans. The playground however was a disappointment. Only because I have younger children who can't climb up big, topsy turvy ladders. Nice small park that so far in my experience isn't usually very crowded, which is nice when u have more than one child to watch. Parking lot and playground right next to each other so there is no long trek back and forth to the car.
