My family and I often visit various state parks. This time we chose this park and this particular area for a picnic. The whole family was delighted. The place is very beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The parking lot is large. There were enough tables and grills. All tables were spaced far enough apart so as not to interfere with each other. The grills were clean. Park employees immediately came to our door and placed a trash bag in the recycling bin. The area was located next to the beach, which is very beautiful. You can walk along the shore, sit on a bench, and admire the bay. There was also a playground nearby, which our daughter also enjoyed. An ice cream truck also pulled into the parking lot, and many people bought ice cream. We didn't really like this because we wanted to enjoy the peace and quiet and the sounds of nature, not the intrusive music of the ice cream truck. There weren't many people on Sunday. Entry is $8 per car. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

Field 6 is a part of the main Heckscher park. Field 6 has a huge parking 🅿️ area, because visitors are in a huge number. Great South Bay by the field 6 is an extra attraction. Enough seating and BBQ ovens are available. I saw active security available for the visitors. This is a wide open place.
