Let me just start by saying "by the gods, this mountain is breath taking". With that start, let's jump right into this. Breath taking in two ways! One if you're not very active then this big boys gonna beat you up! Two even if you're not active, the views all throughout the hike are captivating. Between small passes of rocks that you'll slightly scale, a small passage of water that runs at the beginning of the hike. The ladders at the top, foliage.. honestly I could keep blabbering. The only warning is head is that one shouldn't hike this big fella at night. The trail really isn't marked very efficiently (my guess for that is because the trail is quite broken down, and in daylight you wont be steered away from the actual path) and you'll be sure to take a wrong turn, causing confusion. So to avoid that alltogether hike in the daytime recommended. This hike mesmerizes and will for sure leave you talking about it for days. I've completed this hike twice now and each time I cried when I got to the top (not because of pain) but because that moment you make it there... breathe it in, and really feel everything you've accomplished is, well breath taking. Stop what you're doing loves, and hike...

If you’re really up for it, Porter Mountain is about .7 miles further along the trail. That part was...
