this is a beauitiful park with a lake for swimming with natural scenery as a back drop there is also a lifeguard on duty also has picnic tables and grills for picnics and bbqs a large field for playing catch or frisbe as well as basketball hoops they also have a volleyball net they have a playground and an exercise station they also have a few covered pavillions if the sun is not your thing you can also go fishing here behind the lake is a nice trail system for hiking there is alot of wildlife to view and photograph as well as a small waterfall they have bathrooms and changing rooms i believe showers as well when it isnt crowded you canbrinh your bike andride around the parking lot it is a great place to spend a hot summer day lounging around with a good book for only 8.00 for the entire day it is one of the best bets for putnam county residents although they dont usually check for residency status one note there is no food on site so u would either have to bring your own in with u or go out fot a quick bite you can reenter the park until the end of the day so u can exit and reenter as much as you want during the year they also hold festivals in the adjoining lot and field the 4H fair complete with country style chicken bbq the american indian festival an irish festival it is a great place to visit and lose yourself in a day of outdoor...
Read moreI decided to stop by here since it's it only 6 minutes away from the ninham mt fire tower. 1st time visiting, very nice quiet and clean park. There's playground rest room and even a small beach available with a life guard .the daily pass it's $8 they also have season passes available. There's grills for for you, cool helicopter, tank and an anchor on the premises. There's other cool status and a memorial for veterans which is very clean and well maintained. There's a playground, trail, dock, picnic tables, electrical outlets and barbecues, bathrooms and plenty of space to host parties.
