Make sure to keep a pic of the map on you. The trails are clearly marked and blazed but lots of intersections and shortcuts that could come in handy. The YELLOW (a multi-purpose trail) offers a fairly challenging uphill to the top of the mountain then starts to drop off as you head towards the lake. The BLUE is a great hiking trail with less ticks, more rocks & boulders, and ONLY for on foot hiking. The YELLOW could also be a challenging and exhilarating MTB ride, just watch out for wet downed trees across the trails in certain spots.
WARNINGS: -The YELLOW gets very muddy easily, so stay away after it rains unless you have waterproof boots and like mud. -There are many unavoidable prickly branches and bushes with ticks in certain areas; particularly (if entering from the parking lot) from where the YELLOW trail first intersects the BLUE all the way down to the next intersection at the bottom of the lake. Just went on march 19th and found a few ticks on my legs and hips...

Some of the paths are closed due to fallen trees, this is not marked on the brochures, only on the main sign at the entrance. Otherwise the lake is quite picturesque. There are many abandoned boats surrounding each of the lakes and the paths are relatively easy to hike, even for children. The longest hike is about 4 miles and not too much uphill. We went mid-spring and there was quite a lot of mud, but it was mostly avoidable via rock and root. Our favorite spot was at the smaller lake where the is a ruin with only a leftover fireplace (pictured). A fallen log is placed perfectly to sit and dangle your feet in the...

Her most famous role was playing the role of Samantha on Bewitched. Although she was a great actress and starred in many other films. Elizabeth was an incredible human being and an early activist for human rights way before others caught up with her vision. Sadly, the good die young, and she passed away in her early sixties. I hope popular demand brings about her once having walked these grounds when it was her estate and recognition for the incredible human being...
