Yesterday, 16 members of my family bought the combo tickets which included the ropes course (ziplining) and lazy river tubing. The ropes course went well and was enjoyed by everyone. Our complaints arose from our tubing excursion. While we all wore masks there was not any attempt at social distancing on the buses to transport us there as both buses were packed. Once we arrived the tubes were unloaded and our entire group had upgraded to deluxe tubes as we wanted backs and cup holders for the 2 - 3 hour float. Either there were not enough deluxe tubes loaded or others that did not purchase them grabbed them anyway, but we were short 4 deluxe tubes. Our young male guide refused to check wristbands, when we asked him, to see if someone accidentally took the wrong tubes, so we were left with 3 basic tubes as was another family with 1 tube even though we purchased the deluxe. I should note that we were refunded the difference but it still made the float less enjoyable for these 4 people. Our float was very relaxing with gorgeous scenery on a beautiful day. We had very little contact with the guides during the trip unless it was the young make briskly telling us at the last minute that we needed to paddle our tubes to the other side to avoid rocks. At the end of our tubing we were pulling our tubes out and taking them up to the bus, and then we were screamed at by the drivers because apparently our group was behind schedule and needed to hurry up. Keep in mind, you float as fast as the river takes you, we did not stop and take breaks or stop and swim. And the two buses were loaded so it was a large group to pull the tubes out of the water as it was pretty much single file at that location. Finally, when we got back, we asked where to leave our life jackets and were told over there on a pile. So we put them on a pile and then several of our boys were yelled at about where we put them. The before mentioned guide was actually confrontational and made a comment to my nephew similar to, "look at the big man walking away" because my nephew commented back to their rudeness.
Overall, the tubing and ropes courses are decently maintained and very enjoyable, but the staff needs training on how to to be polite to their paying customers. Our group was not rude to them at all and tried very hard to follow their instructions even if vague at times. And everyone in our group was well behaved and respectful despite the rudeness from the one guide and...
Read moreLiterally spend your money anywhere else. I booked this trip for a family of five and it did nothing but agitate everyone in our party. The way this company is run you would think that they are paying the customers for the day when in fact each customer is spending well over $75 a person. Clearly everyone working here has never worked a job in customer service before, and no one cares to own up and fix their mistakes. My family and I booked luxury tubes for all five in our group in addition to a cooler tube. When I checked in, the girl gave me five blue wristbands (which correspond to the luxury tubes and we were not told this) and said we were good to go. I clarified with her, because she seemed confused, and asked if we would receive our cooler tube on the bus. She said yes and we did not need anything else. We got on the bus and the employees stated that whoever had a white wrist band would receive a cooler tube. We already had a giant cooler with us at this point and the staff was telling us we would have to put the cooler on our lap. Word for word the bus drivers said, "we never make mistakes". Whoever says "we never make mistakes" is completely ignorant and should never be allowed to work in a place interacting with the customers. The management should check with the young employees working the check in desk to make sure they are doing their job correctly, and they should also make sure that customers know about the wristband color system. The women driving the buses were not only horrendous to the customers, but they were horrendous drivers. Twice they drove so maniacally around corners that tree branches came through the window and scratched my face. The only good thing about the trip was our guide Danny. He was great but quite honestly did more work than any of the other guides. They stuck him in the back and left him high and dry to guide all customers that were straggling and there were so many due to the low...
Read moreWhite water rafting was AMAZING but tubing down the lazy river was not! Keith? (older gentleman with glasses) was an amazing instructor and we had a great time white water rafting with him! It was a first for the entire group and we had a blast. We would definitely go again! We can't wait to book the next trip! Our tubing experience unfortunately wasn't as great. Tiger was our instructor and wasn't very informative. We weren't really sure what to do or where we were going or stopping. At one point the entire group got out of the tubes and started unloading because we weren't sure if the tubing was done or not. After about 20 minutes tiger instructed us to get back into the tubes with no other direction. She told the group she couldn't wait to quit her job and find a new one and that she didn't enjoy what she was doing. Someone told her she must get paid good to be an instructor and she complained that she also didn't get paid enough. Her dislike for her job was very evident. The bus driver also wasn't very pleasant. My niece thanked her for driving us to the tubing location and we didn't get a word out of her. She was yelling at the customers as to where the tubes needed to be and was super rude the entire time. They made us wait outside for half hour while they loaded the bus even though everyone was complaining that the bugs were biting us. We stood in the middle of the road where cars kept coming and it wasn't very safe. When we finished the tubing they brought us to a trail in the woods where we couldn't even get our proper footing. It was a sand trail and all the parents were struggling to get up with their children and equipment. I would definitely avoid tubing again if they're going to continue instructing...
