Campstore! — Attraction in Town of Lake Pleasant

We discovered this wonderfully fun and unique campstore on a family road trip. The people and store provide such an uplifting and good vibe experience with many options for shoppers abs keepsakes to rentals and shaved ice. I would stop there again even driving out of my way just because it was one of the best memories on our road trip. We drove through several states and this little gem still POPS in my mind and makes me smile. We bought some keepsake tee shirts when we were there except for my husband . He regretted not purchasing one for the remainder of our trip and kept bringing it up for the remainder of the vaca! BUT!!!! Since the owner, KC, is such a cool dude and takes such immense pride in his business was able to procure a shirt for me and even mailed it to my house! Yay! Wow! Seriously, it was such a surprise and what a great dude. I wrapped it for my husband for a Christmas present. He’s not going to believe it.

Stop at this awesome spot. There is something for everyone and you will find an activity or keepsake treasure for your road trip memories. Totallly worth every moment spent there. I will definitely be talking about this sweet spot for years...

In September we camped around this area for 2 weeks. When we arrived to Moffitt we bought wood here for our first nights and regretted it immediately. As I learned from other customers (this season and past) they are notorious for selling wet/young wood. Avoid buying your wood here unless you enjoy the nuisance of a smoking, hissing fire that will never light on a cool ADK camping evening. Everywhere else we purchased on this trip (Indian Lake, Speculator, Long Lake) was dry and usable. I could have brought my own from 6 hours away, but I follow the rules and hope businesses like yours are looking out for visitors to the region.
