Oak Mountain is the perfect place to have a wedding whether it be on the top of the mountain with the beautiful views and having you and your guests having a chair lift experience or inside under a beautiful altar (which is where we had ours). The venue is beautiful. There is a space for lawn games, a patio area with tables and chairs, a fire pit which is attached to the patio by a little walkway (beautiful flowers surround the patio and fire pit area), their bar/restaurant area for the cocktail hour, and a reception area that is very spacious and beautiful. It has all these windows to be able to look up the mountain, and they have decor draped on the ceiling which is so elegant and beautiful. Not only that but the food is absolutely amazing from the appetizers to the entrees, they are just mouth watering. Their chef is like I said before just absolutely amazing. He is such a nice guy and makes sure his dishes are perfect. They are also flexible with the menu which helped us as we changed things last minute. Which is another thing, Laura, the owner, not only texted, emailed, and called me over the past year to make sure everything was perfect for us, but she was so flexible especially with changes last second. She is such a beautiful person inside and out and I am so thankful for all the effort she put into making my day perfect. Her and her staff will make your wedding day dreams come true. For the skiing part... I haven't skied here, but I know a few people who have and...
Read moreWe visited for the first time yesterday. My daughter is 4 and it was the first time I took her skiing. She loved the magic carpets, not so much the skiing yet but we will try again. It's a great and affordable place for beginners! We got 2 hour passes and the rental skis booked online the day before. Everything was ready for us when we arrived. Compared to bigger mountains, I was impressed at how quick getting the rentals was! My daughter was done after about 45 minutes so she hung out with my husband while I was able to check out the rest of the mountain. It was not great snow conditions due to multiple warm days leading up to it but there was a beautiful blue sky and plenty of space for everyone. I especially loved Oak Mtn Run because I had it to myself the 3 times I went down it. Despite the warm temps leading up to yesterday, there weren't too many ice patches and I was able to carve some nice turns. After our 2 hour pass, we left to nap and rest before coming back from 3-4:30 to go tubing. One of the staff members (I missed his name) had a great attitude and everyone had lots of fun! It will be even better with the fresh snow added today! Well worth a...
Read moreLaura, words cannot express how truly grateful Gracie and I are for finding Oak Mountain for our wedding. Everything from the drinks, staff, decor, food, and scenery, was absolutely perfect!!
Thank you for working so flawlessly with our photographers, DJ, and bakery contractors; we were able to enjoy the day celebrating with friends and family; knowing that everything else was taken care of.
The chef, Lou, was a Hells kitchen finalist, and makes some of the best food that I have ever tasted! Please check out the restaurant! The salmon, beef skewers, and stuffed chicken went over extremely well with all of our guests.
The absolutely best thing about our wedding at Oak Mountain was the scenery. A fire-pit with s’mores at the base of the mountain, riding chairlifts through the fall foliage to the top of the mountain, and saying our vows at our wedding ceremony that overlooked mountains, lakes, and colorful trees. We have some amazing pictures that will always bring back memories of our gorgeous wedding day.
We are forever grateful for Oak Mountain, and the staff who helped in making our...
