I really like this waterfall, but I fell really hard going down the muddy path. I chose the mud by stepping side by side instead of the steeper path with rocks. That was a mistake. My ankle tweaked as I was falling, but I had boots on so that wasn't bad. But I did get a Contusion of Rib and went to the ER in South Jersey the next day. I could have gotten hurt even more. I fell on a log but avoided a big rock behind me and in front of me. My glasses went above my head, so I didn't fall with them on my eyes, where the glasses could have shattered if I landed on one of those rocks, and the lenses could have given me severe eye damage. What I'm trying to say is this is a great view of the waterfall, but be extremely careful. I don't want anyone to fall after what happened to me! Update* I've fully recovered and still have my job after a medical leave. I'm working better than ever, and am very grateful I survived. I was lucky to have a friend with me to help me after the fall I had. I suggest going with a friend if you decide to try to go down the rocks to the waterfall. Also, I dropped a center column which goes to my tripod when I fell. It was in my bag. I've attached a photo. If anyone finds it, please contact me. Thank you. - Paul Harwood

Every time we are in the area we stop in to check out the falls, and it never disappoints. First time was mid-summer and people were laying out on the rocks sunning, and some were swimming. The water wasn't falling too hard at the time. Our visit early spring was different! Full of fishermen, and the water was pouring over the falls! The difference between the two visits was astounding. The trek down to the water can be slippery at times, but there are trees and rocks to stabilize with. I always want to stay longer. There isn't...

Ludlow is growing in popularity every year. I've been swimming at these falls since I was a little kid. The park itself has grown over the years as well. Started out with just a small b-ball court. Now theres a playground (splinter free), a pavilion with outlets and lights and they've added more picnic tables. The beauty of the falls is the real draw. Huge, gorgeous waterfalls with an enormous cave behind them. If your visiting Lansing from out of town Ludlowville falls is a must...
