I was disappointed with our experience at this location. The RV park offers zero shade, the bath house is a distance away from the sites and not very clean, and there are limited amenities, almost zero. The beach was closed. The trails were closed. The dog park grass had not been cut. The bath house wasn't cleaned while we were there once. I know this because the same trash bag remained in the can and the shower I frequented had the same bugs overseeing my hygiene process. I can honestly say I will never visit this location again. Fort Drum should definitely consider redirecting some of it's funds to the renovation of the RV campground sites and possibly adding a new bath house closer to the RV sites.

There is so much to do in this area. You can camp with a tent or set your camper. There is places for cookouts & pavilions for outside parties. We passed by a dog park that was also next to a playground; I think we drove by at least 3 different play areas. People were fishing & swimming, as well as setting up their boats. We ended up going hiking. They have many trails & each one was scenic. Absolutely gorgeous & reminded us of our hometown.

Enjoy running the trails here, especially through spring and fall. The parks facilities and cabins are nice and well kept. Overall a great place to spend a little time with the family, camp, swim, or take a stroll. Cons: cabins are a bit pricey to rent and along the back side where you can camp or use the pavilion, no pets are allowed.

Used this place 3 times in the last month, but if you don’t go in person then good luck getting them to answer the phone. We called 18 times all through out the day on Thursday to secure a cabin for Memorial Day weekend. I finally get there and the younger woman at the front desk says they close in an hour and she can’t clean a cabin or get one available until Tuesday when people are back in office. Frustrating that each time we do arrive at the office the person working is either at the desk or outside smoking. I know fort drum is slow, but damn...
