was very impressed couldn't believe how big the preserve is a tone of land and great trails. its easy for the parking lot as well a good size and right of the Maine road. I liked the history behind it and seeing the mansion and also the upper gorge over look is great plus the venal pool. i didn't do all the trails but did run a goo amount blue, yellow and some of the white. also their are few small trails across the street the green and blue I did. the orange not taking a risk since it said its bad with the...

Used to play here as a child in 1990-91; I lived on Ridgefield Avenue and we used to cut thru and walk in the woods and there it was. No signs but old paths were still visible, just in the middle of the woods, so now that’s it’s labeled a preserve I’m curious. we thought the building remnants were so cool but didn’t know anything about it. Was told it was a mansion and the entire property burnt down. Who knows what the...

This is a well maintained preserve with great trails for exploring the park. There are many, many informative plaques about the natural world, and a lot of the natural features have been given names. Like "layer cake rock" and"crochedy old oak." It's a nice place to hike, and you can string together different loops for up to 6 miles or so of...

🍄‍🟫Leon Levy Preserve — Lewisboro, NY Right on the CT border and just minutes from downtown Ridgefield, this preserve is such a gem! The trails are super well-marked, kid-friendly, and offer that perfect mix of dirt, roots, gravel, and some semi-paved stretches. Rolling hills throughout keep it fun without being difficult. I absolutely loved this one — especially the ruins along the way! Trail: 2.1-mile loop (with an options to shorten it using AllTrails) Highlights: • Black Mansion Ruins — remains of a former 32-room home; quick and easy to reach • Chemistry Research Laboratory Ruins (James Craft) • Native Plant Garden added by the Lewisboro Land Trust • Large invasives-removal project + deer fencing throughout • Dogs are welcome • A ravine with 25 ft cliffs (we didn’t make it there this time!) Parking: Large lot, easy access. #hike #trail #westchestercounty #newyork #ruins

Hidden Gem! Went on a Saturday afternoon and not busy at all. Nice wide trails and easy hiking. Took the dog and walked a couple miles. Some abandoned structures and other neat things. Nice area just don't tell anyone so it remains a hidden gem!

What a great find past this many times in my car and I am sorry I waited so long to visit. Lot’s of trail options so you may want to use all trails app so you find everything. Can be a little buggy after rain storm
