I have to be honest, with a name like "Mosquito Hill," why would I (or anyone) ever want to come here?

This place is gorgeous! And huge! We didn't even see the whole thing in the 2 1/2 hours we were there. And the mosquitoes weren't even bad (not that there weren't any, but we've been to plenty of places that were much worse).

There is so much to see here. We will definitely be back to see the rest. This is truly one of Wisconsin's treasures! Put this on your lists, you need to see it for yourselves!

There are several Pokestops...

The area and trails are worth 5 stars, but while visiting one morning in the middle of July, the bugs were thick and aggressive on the trails, so you really need to be prepared for that. Biting flies and mosquitoes. BUT, I went back to the car and had plenty of clothes to cover skin, plus bug spray, and was still able to enjoy the nice hill climbs and views! Very low crowds during that time of day and year. I recommend visiting, but if it's in peak bug season, cover your body (and face). I will certainly be back in the...

The Misquote Hill Nature Center was a very enjoyable time for myself, wife and 6 year old grandson. We were actually the only visitors in the center's building looking at the wildlife exhibits. After viewing the exibits we hiked around the grounds for an hour or so. While hiking we only saw about seven other hikers. The trails are well maintained. The grasses, flowers & trees are beautiful. After the hike we had a picnic lunch at one of the picnic tables near the nature center building.

It was...

This was my first time hiking the Overlook Trail and part of the Prairie Loop. Even after nearly a week of rain, the Overlook Trail was still in great condition for intervals of jogging/walking. I bet the views in the fall and spring are awesome, but there's lots of greenery this time of year, so I couldn't see much from the top. The Prairie Loop had some biting flies but was still walkable. There were lots of deer tracks on the Prairie Loop, but I didn't see any turtles by the pond this time.
