Lake Lucerne is probably the premier lake of Forest County. It is deep, clear, and beautiful. It is about one mile wide and about four miles long. It has several beautiful islands (partially inhabited). Many of the very nicest homes in our county are on Lake Lucerne. I can't comment on the fishing opportunities as I'm not much of a fisherman. But its layout (shape, size and islands) make it particular popular for water skiing. It is the home of the Crandon Water Ski Club. Much of the shoreline is somewhat steep.
