Geneva Lake — Attraction in Town of Linn

Amazing place. We really didn't know what to expect having never been to this part of the country before. We were very pleased and wonderfully surprised at this incredible setting. This is where all the rich and well off from Chicago would come and summer and or good cause, it truly is a relaxing and beautiful place.

The lake is lined with mansions from a prior era, each with their own story to tell, some can be toured. The town is small and quaint and very welcoming to visitors and guests a like. We found many great places to eat and many activities to enjoy while vacationing here.

The mail run boat is a must do for anyone coming here, was a major highlight for us, not just from watching the young runners performing superb feats of wonder to deliver the mail onto the docks from a boat that never stops, but also the wonderful history and stories told during the circling of the lake shore.

We stayed at the old Playboy resort and found it charming with its own stories to tell. Fireworks show, nice rooms, even a ski run if you happen to be there in the winter. Here you can drive out on the lake in the winter as well, although one of the stories was about how several cars went through ice one year. ...

It is the best place for all vacation hungry people when they have started coming out of confines of their homes in post corona lockdowns. This place has reasonably long beach line for families, loners and fun loving. Boating facilities are also available There are excellent eating, ice cream joints along with good hotels. Geneva Lake, WI was the most magical place to visit every summer when I was growing up. We lived in Milwaukee, but just getting away on the weekend was so wonderful.
